A leading Tier 1 Contractor is seeking an experienced
Senior Planner to join its Dublin-based project team, initially supporting the successful delivery of a major
Hyperscale Data Centre.
Working alongside the Project Director, Construction Managers, Commercial Team, Engineers, Procurement, Commissioning, and Client Representatives, you will play a pivotal role in developing, managing, and maintaining the integrated project programme, ensuring programme certainty, accurate reporting, and successful project delivery throughout the full construction lifecycle.

The Role - Senior Planner
As
Senior Planner, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, monitoring progress, analysing critical path activities, identifying programme risks, and supporting project teams with accurate planning, forecasting, and reporting to ensure successful project delivery.
Senior Planner Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update integrated project programmes using Primavera P6, including baseline schedules, critical path analysis, look-ahead programmes, progress measurement, resource loading, earned value analysis, commissioning programmes, schedule recovery planning, and project forecasting, ensuring programme certainty from pre-construction through to client handover.
- Work closely with Project Directors, Construction Managers, Commercial Teams, Engineering, Procurement, BIM, QA/QC, Commissioning Teams, and Client Representatives to coordinate construction sequencing, monitor project progress, identify programme risks and constraints, support recovery strategies, and ensure alignment across all project disciplines.
- Produce detailed programme updates, executive reports, dashboards, S-curves, KPI reporting, delay analysis, change impact assessments, and progress presentations, providing accurate programme intelligence and supporting informed commercial and operational decision-making.
- Participate in planning and coordination meetings, support tender planning, logistics planning, and resource forecasting, while mentoring Junior Planners and Planning Engineers and promoting planning best practice across the project team.
- Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders, contributing to the successful delivery of one of Ireland's largest and most technically advanced Hyperscale Data Centre developments.
Necessary Requirements of the Senior Planner
- Degree qualified in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline, with 5+ years' experience as a Senior Planner, Project Planner, Planning Engineer, or Project Controls Engineer within Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, Industrial, Semiconductor, Infrastructure, or Mission-Critical Construction environments.
- Proven experience developing and managing integrated construction programmes, including critical path analysis, progress monitoring, earned value management, programme reporting, delay analysis, commissioning schedules, resource planning, and recovery planning on large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of Construction Planning, Project Controls, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Earned Value Management (EVM), Schedule Risk Analysis, Procurement Planning, Construction Sequencing, Commissioning Planning, and Project Reporting, with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary project teams.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, and planning/reporting software, with excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Applicants must hold full eligibility to live and work in Ireland.
