Business Development Manager – Healthcare Sector
We are seeking an ambitious, commercially driven, and highly motivated Business Development Manager – Healthcare to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional to play a pivotal role in expanding our presence across Ireland's private healthcare sector while identifying and developing new business opportunities within emerging healthcare markets.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth by securing new clients, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding our portfolio of healthcare services. You will work closely with senior management to identify new market opportunities, launch new healthcare divisions, and position the company as a trusted workforce solutions partner throughout Ireland.
This role is ideal for an individual with a strong background in B2B sales, healthcare business development, or recruitment who thrives on building long-term client relationships and delivering commercial success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic business development plan focused on revenue growth within the healthcare sector.
- Identify, approach, and secure new business opportunities across private hospitals, nursing homes, residential care providers, homecare organisations, hospices, specialist clinics, primary care centres, mental health services, and other healthcare providers.
- Drive the expansion of new healthcare divisions by identifying emerging market opportunities and developing innovative workforce solutions.
- Arrange and attend face-to-face and virtual meetings with healthcare executives, directors, procurement teams, HR managers, and key decision-makers across Ireland.
- Build long-term partnerships with healthcare providers by understanding their workforce challenges and delivering tailored staffing and recruitment solutions.
- Prepare and deliver professional presentations, proposals, and commercial tenders.
- Negotiate service agreements, preferred supplier arrangements, and commercial terms.
- Work collaboratively with recruitment consultants and operational teams to ensure exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and changes within the healthcare industry to identify future growth opportunities.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurately manage opportunities using the company's CRM system.
- Represent the company at healthcare conferences, networking events, exhibitions, and industry forums.
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and business development updates for senior management.
- Achieve and exceed agreed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets while contributing to the company's long-term strategic growth.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum three years' experience in business development, B2B sales, healthcare recruitment, or workforce solutions.
- Demonstrated success in generating new business and managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract award.
- Experience working with private healthcare providers or within the healthcare sector is highly desirable.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify new market opportunities and drive sustainable business growth.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-focused with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel throughout Ireland.
- A third-level qualification in Business, Healthcare Management, Sales, Marketing, or a related discipline is desirable.

Salary: Competitive basic salary with uncapped commission and performance-related bonus.
Pay: €45,000.00-€55,000.00 per year
