Front Of House Lead – Mad Egg Marina Market

Mad Egg is a hugely popular Irish restaurant brand. Following the success of our restaurants in Dublin, Mad Egg is now coming to Cork with a brand-new location in Marina Market.
The opportunity
As part of our opening team, you'll receive 3 days of fully paid training at a Mad Egg restaurant in Dublin before we open in Cork, with travel, accommodation and expenses covered.
We're also offering great work-life balance, with operational hours currently planned for 12pm–8pm, meaning no early morning starts or late-night finishes.
We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic FOH Lead to help launch Mad Egg in Cork. This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll work alongside the team during service while taking responsibility for the smooth running of the shift and maintaining high standards across the operation.
What you'll be doing
- Lead and support the FOH team during service.
- Work alongside the team across all FOH positions.
- Be cross trained with Kitchen Lead.
- Be jointly responsible alongside the kitchen lead for the smooth running of the shift.
- Ensure excellent customer service and a great guest experience.
- Maintain Mad Egg standards for food quality, cleanliness and service.
- Manage staff deployment and breaks during the shift.
- Coach and support team members through real-time feedback.
- Ensure training, procedures and food safety standards are followed.
- Complete opening, service and closing checks.
- Monitor waste and operational standards.
- Deal with any issues that arise during the shift.
What we're looking for
- Previous hospitality or supervisory experience.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Someone who is confident leading a team in a busy environment.
- Calm and organised under pressure.
- A positive, hands-on attitude.
- Someone who leads by example and enjoys working as part of a team.
- Willingness to be fully cross-trained across FOH and BOH.
