Purpose of the Role
The Warehouse & Production Operative plays a vital role in supporting both our production and warehouse operations. This position involves working across production lines, quality control, stock management, goods handling, dispatch operations, and general warehouse activities.
Working as part of a team, you will apply practical skills while working efficiently, accurately, and safely in a fast-paced environment, maintaining excellent attention to detail at all times.
Full training will be provided.
Reporting to Dispatch Manager & Production Manager
Key Responsibilities
Production Duties
- Working on production lines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Setting up machinery and bagging finished product.
- Carrying out quality control checks and removing out-of-specification product.
- Ensuring products meet company and customer specifications.
- Reporting and addressing quality or safety concerns promptly.
- Adhering to HACCP, food safety, and Health & Safety requirements at all times.
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards throughout the production area.
- Supporting general factory operations as required.
Warehouse & Dispatch Duties
- Loading, unloading, storing, and transporting raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
- Preparing and processing orders for dispatch.
- Loading stock onto trucks, vans, and other vehicles.
- Checking stock quantities and supporting inventory control activities.
- Maintaining accurate stock records using manual and computerised systems.
- Assisting with stock takes and inventory reporting.
- Moving goods between production and warehouse facilities using pallet trucks and forklifts where authorised.
- Liaising with Warehouse, Dispatch, and Production teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Responding to internal communications via email and telephone when required.
General Responsibilities
- Following all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Identifying hazards, risks, or faulty equipment and reporting them immediately.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation in all work areas.
- Demonstrating flexibility to support different departments as required by business needs.
- Supporting a positive team environment and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Working Hours
- This role is rostered to work full-time hours, with shifts allocated between Monday and Sunday in line with production requirements.
- Additional flexibility may be required to support warehouse and dispatch operations.
Essential & Desired Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse, factory, production, manufacturing, or manual work environment desired.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Own transport is essential as public transport is limited in the area.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Forklift licence.
- Previous warehouse or dispatch experience.
- Experience working with inventory management or warehouse systems.
- Experience within food production or manufacturing environments.

Pay: €14.25-€15.00 per hour
