Murlock Construction are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our growing team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering an excellent opportunity to work with a professional and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, maintain and repair a range of heavy plant and construction equipment, including dumpers, telehandlers, 360° excavators, MEWPs, rollers and other construction machinery.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
- Carry out routine inspections, preventative maintenance and safety checks.
- Complete repairs efficiently to minimise equipment downtime.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Attend breakdowns on-site when required.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Construction Plant Mechanic.
- Valid Category C or CE (HGV) Driving Licence - preferable
- Experience servicing and repairing heavy plant and construction machinery.
- Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship.
