As Store Manager, you will serve as the primary operational leader on the floor, driving daily retail efficiency, managing department leads, and optimizing customer experience across the store. You will partner with Executive Management to implement business strategy, control operational costs, and build a motivated team that delivers high commercial standards every day.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Execution
Oversee daily floor operations to ensure high standards in store appearance, stock availability, customer service, and checkout efficiency.
Coordinate cross-departmental operations (Grocery, Fresh Foods, Live Counters, Checkout, and Logistics) to maintain high workflow efficiency.
Implement operational guidelines, store opening/closing procedures, and loss-prevention strategies.
Financial Performance & Margin Management
Drive store sales goals, labor productivity targets, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Monitor daily inventory intake, shrinkage, waste levels, and stock turn rates to safeguard profitability.
Review labor allocation against footfall patterns, managing shift schedules to balance store needs with budget targets.
People Management & Team Development
Directly manage Department Managers and Floor Supervisors, fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork.
Oversee store-wide recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, and employee relations.
Identify and cultivate talent, creating clear progression paths for high-performing staff members.
Compliance, HACCP & Safety
Ensure full compliance with Irish retail regulations, FSAI food safety standards, HACCP protocols, and Health & Safety at Work regulations.
Lead regular store audits to maintain maximum standards in food hygiene, refrigeration logs, and site safety.
Maintain positive working relationships with local council representatives, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
Customer Experience & Community Relations
Foster an exceptional shopping environment tailored to Dublin’s multicultural customer base.
Address escalated customer inquiries or feedback promptly and professionally.
Monitor retail trends and customer feedback to optimize product selection and store layout.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years as a Store Manager or Supervisor within a high-volume retail supermarket or food hall environment.
Retail Operations: Strong expertise in high-volume grocery management, fresh food operations, supply chain coordination, and stock analytics.
Leadership: Proven ability to manage, inspire, and develop teams of 30+ employees across multiple operational departments.
Compliance & HACCP: In-depth knowledge of Irish food safety guidelines (HACCP Level 3 qualification strongly preferred) and health and safety requirements.
Financial Literacy: Strong analytical capability for evaluating P&L reports, labor metrics, inventory data, and retail margins.
Communication: Outstanding interpersonal and leadership communication skills.
Pay: €28,300.00-€60,778.69 per year
