Donegal Sexual Abuse & Rape Crisis Centre are currently offering a Contract for Service for Sessional Accredited Counsellors/Therapists.
Contract: 4-month sessional contract (possibility of renewal dependant on funding)
Remuneration: €60 per hour
What is Donegal Sexual Abuse & Rape Crisis Centre?
Donegal Sexual Abuse & Rape Crisis Centre offer FREE one to one counselling, support and advice to those aged 12+ who have been affected by recent & / or historic sexual violence in a confidential, safe and friendly environment.
We also provide support to family, friends and supporters.
Qualifications and professional experience:
An applicant must possess
- A recognised qualification at minimum Level 8* or higher qualification on the NQAI framework in Counselling and/ or Psychotherapy. A recognised Level 7 in Counselling and/or Psychotherapy obtained pre-2018 along with accreditation will be accepted.
- Certificate/Postgrad qualification in Adolescent Psychotherapy
- In addition, the Counsellor must be fully accredited as a Psychotherapist/Counselling Psychologist with one of the following accrediting bodies: Irish Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (IACP), Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP), Family Therapy Association of Ireland (FTAI), National Association of Professional Counselling & Psychotherapy (NAPCP), Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI), Irish Council of Psychotherapy (ICP), British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), Irish Association for Play Therapy & Psychotherapy (IAPTP), Association for Psychoanalysis & Psychotherapy in Ireland (APPI), Association of Professional Counselling & Psychotherapy in Ireland (APCP), Psychotherapy (IAHIP) or an equivalent accrediting authority.
