MMC Commercials Unlimited is part of the Frank Keane Group, a highly successful privately owned Irish company. The group has a long heritage with the motor industry in Ireland including the importation and distribution of various brands which include Stoneridge Electronic Aftermarket Tachograph related products in Ireland since 1984.
The company is seeking the right person to fill a key role for the Stoneridge Aftermarket distributor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth while providing aftersales support which includes technical support and guidance on tachograph systems (analogue, digital and smart).
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Promote and sell tachograph products and related services e.g. digital, smart tachographs, calibration, downloads, analysis, and compliance solutions.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within transport, logistics, fleet management, and related sectors.
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts, building long-term relationships while also looking to add new customer accounts to the business.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and product demonstrations tailored to customer needs.
- Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets and KPIs.
Technical Support
- Support workshops and technicians with technical guidance where required.
- Provide technical advice and pre- and post-sales support on tachograph product including installation, configuration, use, and troubleshooting
Compliance & Industry Knowledge
- Stay up to date with tachograph regulations, smart tachograph developments, and industry standards.
- Ensure all sales and technical advice aligns with current legal and regulatory requirements.
- Represent the company professionally at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with sales, technical, and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Provide feedback from customers to support product development and service improvement.
- Assist with the development of sales materials and technical documentation.
Skills & Competencies
- Proven sales ability with a consultative, customer-focused approach.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical customers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- An understanding (or willingness to learn) of digital and smart tachographs and related compliance requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in a sales, technical, or hybrid sales/technical role
- Full driving licence or equivalent essential.
- Previous experience in tachographs, transport compliance, fleet management, or a related field would be a benefit.
