Role Title: Urgent Care Physician

Contract: Full time, Permanent
Vhi Health & Wellbeing DAC currently has a full time permanent role for the position of Urgent Care Physician in the Carrickmines Clinic. The core of the role is to provide excellent clinical care in a manner that is patient-centred and with the highest quality standards.

What will you do:-
Provide care to patients presenting with a range of urgent care presentations
- Minor injuries; including: sprains, fractures and wounds
- Facilitating referrals to specialists
- Initial interpretation of x-rays and ECG’s
- Indicate any procedures done
- Treat patients who attend the clinic for consultation
What you will need to be successful:
Knowledge and experience-
Registered with the Irish Medical Council.
- Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in clinical practice, including significant experience in a general practice in a community setting and 2 years of recent urgent care/ minor trauma/A&E experience.
- Training in ED / GP or other postgraduate qualification would be highly beneficial.
- 6 months experience with paediatric patients is desirable.
- Flexibility across a 7 day roster.
- BLS
- Proven ability to work to tight time frames in a busy commercially focused environment.
