Ray Whelan Ltd is one of the leading waste management companies in the South East, providing reliable domestic, commercial and industrial waste collection and skip hire services. We are currently seeking a professional, customer-focused Customer Service Agent to join our busy Call Centre team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has excellent communication skills, and is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle incoming and outgoing customer calls professionally and efficiently.
- Process new waste collection and skip hire bookings accurately.
- Assist customers with enquiries regarding collections, skip hire, billing, and general services.
- Schedule and coordinate waste collections and skip deliveries using the company's management systems.
- Resolve customer queries and complaints in a courteous and professional manner.
- Liaise closely with Operations, Drivers, and Supervisors to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Maintain accurate customer records and update account information.
- Process customer payments and assist with account queries where required.
- Ensure all customer interactions meet the company's high standards of service.
- Carry out general administrative duties as required.
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous customer service or call centre experience (preferred but not essential).
- Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Good computer literacy and the ability to learn new software systems quickly.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to work as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
