Capex Recruitment are partnering with a growing civil engineering contractor to recruit an experienced Site Engineer for a major sports infrastructure development in Lusk, North Dublin.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer to join a busy project team on a high-profile infrastructure scheme, working with a contractor that has established a strong reputation for delivering quality civil engineering projects across Ireland.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day delivery of the project, working closely with site management, subcontractors and project stakeholders to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
The Role
As Site Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing engineering activities on site while supporting the successful delivery of the project programme.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out setting out and surveying duties using GPS and levelling equipment
- Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with design drawings and project specifications
- Monitoring site activities and supporting the coordination of subcontractors and site crews
- Producing and maintaining accurate site records, surveys and engineering documentation
- Preparing as-built information and updating project drawings where required
- Conducting site inspections and quality checks throughout the construction process
- Assisting with the planning and sequencing of works to ensure programme targets are achieved
- Liaising with clients, consultants, suppliers and other project stakeholders
- Supporting the implementation of health, safety and environmental standards on site
- Identifying and resolving technical issues as they arise during project delivery
Candidate Requirements
- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Site Engineer role within civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, site procedures and quality control processes
- Experience using GPS equipment, levelling equipment and surveying instruments
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and other engineering software packages
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a project team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Full driving licence
