Role Title: Product Manager
BU/Segment: AI Platform & Engineering
Location: Dublin, Republic of Ireland (Flexible hybrid working)
Employment Type: Permanent
Summary of the role:
The EXLerate.ai Platform Product Manager owns and drives the product vision, strategy and roadmap for EXL’s enterprise-grade AI platform that enables agentic AI development and hosting. The role bridges business objectives and engineering execution – setting direction, building the investment case, and ensuring the development team has clear priorities, well-defined requirements and a continuously refined backlog aligned to strategic goals.
This is an “outbound”, strategically focused product role. The Product Manager partners closely with platform architects, data scientists, engineering, solution and sales teams, and external partners to translate ambiguous customer and business problems into a clear platform strategy and scalable, measurable solutions. They represent EXLerate.ai to stakeholders, customers and executives, and align cross-functional teams around outcomes that advance platform scalability, governance, observability, developer experience and commercial growth.
The ideal candidate combines strong product leadership with an understanding of cloud solution architectures, AI/ML product development and platform delivery at scale. Hands-on experience shaping AI-powered discovery, personalization or agentic capabilities is highly valued.
As part of your duties, you will be responsible for:
Product strategy & vision
- Define and communicate the product vision, strategy and roadmap for the EXLerate.ai platform, aligning technical priorities with strategic business goals.
- Build compelling, data-backed business cases and investment proposals to secure funding and resourcing for new platform capabilities and product teams.
- Manage the platform as a portfolio – prioritising across competing initiatives using structured frameworks (e.g. RICE) to maximise customer value and ROI.
Customer, stakeholder & GTM alignment
- Engage executives, customers, sales and marketing to shape requirements, validate direction and drive adoption – acting as the outbound voice of the EXLerate.ai platform.
- Use customer research and data analysis to identify high-impact opportunities and translate them into clear strategy and scalable solutions.
- Partner with solution and sales teams on client pitches, demos and platform positioning, presenting to both small and large, technical and non-technical audiences.
Delivery & execution
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it reflects the strategic roadmap and technical priorities.
- Define and refine user stories, epics, acceptance criteria and success metrics to ensure clarity and alignment for the development team.
- Partner with engineering leads to translate complex AI platform capabilities – such as model orchestration, agent frameworks, memory management and deployment pipelines – into actionable development work.
- Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming and reviews, ensuring continuous delivery of value; monitor progress against milestones and KPIs, proactively managing risks and trade-offs.
- Ensure features support the vision for agentic AI – including automation, reasoning, personalization and multi-agent collaboration – and are portable and scalable across clients.
- Support product documentation, release notes, internal training and enablement to drive successful adoption.
Leadership
- Mentor and coach product team members; contribute to the product community of practice and uplift product management maturity across the organisation.
Qualifications and experience we consider to be essential for the role:
- Master’s degree in Product Management, Computer Science, Data Science or an MBA.
- Hands-on experience shaping AI-powered discovery, personalization or NLP-driven product features in partnership with data scientists.
- Experience in AI infrastructure, agentic AI systems, MLOps or AI platform engineering.
- Familiarity with modern AI/agent frameworks (e.g. LangChain, ADK, CrewAI or similar).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Understanding of data governance, model observability and AI ethics/compliance.
- Experience with design systems, platform modernization, APIs, SDKs and developer-ecosystem enablement.
- People leadership and coaching experience, including developing and mentoring product teams.
- Experience in customer-facing, sales-aligned roles presenting to executive stakeholders and clients.
Certifications (one or more preferred)
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO/A-CSPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO).
- Certified SAFe Product Owner / Product Manager.
- Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP).
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure or GCP) and/or AI/ML certifications are a plus.
Skills and Personal attributes we would like to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in product management or product ownership, ideally for B2B SaaS, product platforms or enterprise software.
- Proven track record of owning product strategy and roadmap, building business cases and shipping platform or AI-powered capabilities.
- Understanding of agentic AI concepts – LLMs, prompt management, agent deployment and observability.
- Experience managing agile delivery using frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban or SAFe, with the ability to create clear user stories, epics and acceptance criteria.
- Strong customer research, data analysis (including SQL/analytics instrumentation) and prioritisation skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills, with experience collaborating across cross-functional technical teams.
As part of a leading global Data and AI company, you can look forward to:
- A competitive salary with a generous bonus, private healthcare, life assurance at 4 x your annual salary, income protection insurance, and a rewarding pension.
- At EXL , we are committed to providing our employees with the tools and resources they need to succeed and excel in their careers.
