Established in 2005, Burke Electrical Installations is an electrical contracting specialist responsible for the completion of high profile, high specification electrical projects including design and build electrical contracts.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Electrical Engineer to join Burke Electrical Installations. This position will be based in Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford.
The Role?
- Working within a team of electrical professional to support the engineering requirements through managing & liaising with key project stakeholders (client design team, main contractor, suppliers, sub-contractors, etc).
- Detailed design covering all aspects of LV power systems, lighting & general services and security & protection systems.
- Assist with the review of specification documents and selection & procurement of the range of equipment including cost analysis.
- Preparation of technical enquiry documentation and issuing same to the supply chain.
- Preparation & issuing of technical submission documentation, ensuring full compliance with the relevant standards.
- Visit site to monitor progress against the program and issue progress / quality reports.
- Complying with specific project safety requirements including the preparation of Operation & Maintenance manuals
- Complying with specific project safety requirements, including the preparation of method statements and risk assessments.
Necessary requirement for the Role:
- Suitable Candidates must have a third level degree in Electrical Engineering with 1+ years' experience working as an Electrical Engineer.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload according to deadlines together with a high attention to detail.
- Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced working environment
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD software with an understanding of the BIM process.
- Familiarity with Revit software would be advantageous to the role.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
