AllPro Services is recruiting Young Persons Support and Liaison Officer to support children seeking international protection in Ireland.
The successful candidate will act in the best interests of unaccompanied minors, providing guidance and support throughout the international protection process. Responsibilities include attending ports of entry, accompanying children through screening, age assessments and interviews, liaising with statutory and professional services, maintaining case records, and ensuring safeguarding and welfare needs are met at all times.
Essential Requirements
- One of the following:
- CORU-registered Social Care Worker, Occupational Therapist, or Speech & Language Therapist
- Teaching Council registered Teacher
- Psychologist or Psychiatrist with relevant child and adolescent experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working directly with children within the last 5 years
- Experience working with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong understanding of child safeguarding and trauma-informed practice
- Current Garda Vetting and Children First training
- Full clean driving licence (vehicle provided)
- Ability to work flexibly as part of a rostered service
Desirable
- Experience working with unaccompanied minors, refugees, asylum seekers or migrant children
- Knowledge of international protection processes and children's rights
- Experience supporting vulnerable children with complex needs or trauma
