Job Summary
We are hiring a CSSD Technician responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, and maintaining surgical instruments and equipment. This role directly impacts patient safety—mistakes here lead to infections, so attention to detail is not optional.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of instruments and equipment
- Operate autoclaves, ETO, and other sterilization machines
- Pack, label, and store sterile items as per protocol
- Maintain sterilization records, logs, and biological indicator reports
- Ensure proper segregation and handling of contaminated instruments
- Monitor sterilization cycles and report failures immediately
- Coordinate with OT, wards, and departments for instrument supply
- Follow infection control and biomedical waste management protocols
- Maintain inventory of sterile supplies
Requirements
- Diploma in CSSD Technology
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in CSSD
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques (steam, ETO, plasma, etc.)
- Understanding of infection control standards (NABH preferred)
- Basic documentation and record-keeping skills
