Role Description
We are recruiting for the position of Heavy Diesel Mechanic Auto/Maintenance Person.
Responsibilities
· Performing inspections of vehicles to diagnose engine, drivetrain or other issues
· Repairing or replacing worn or damaged parts to support vehicle operation
· Conducting oil, filter and fluid changes and other routine maintenance
· Adjusting and aligning components, including sensors, to manufacturer specifications
· Performing safety and emissions inspections as needed
· Documenting work performed and parts used to support invoicing processes
· Advising service writers about additional repair needs or concerns
Requirements
· Engine and transmission repair knowledge
· Proficiency with automotive tools and vehicle diagnostic systems
· Knowledge of vehicle systems, including suspensions, brakes and steering
· Ability to follow exacting safety and manufacturer standards
· Strong technical reading skills for understanding and integrating charts, measurements and other details from manufacturer guidelines
· English level medium
