Hours: 35-40 hours per week
Rate of Pay: 15.15 euro per hour
Description of Employment-
- Assume responsibilities for learning all the preparation procedures, food recipes and adhering to the recipes, with help by Senior Chef or Supervisor.
- Make sure all meals are being prepared and cooked properly following the recipes and with the guidance from Senior Chef.
- Taste all hotpots daily to ensure consistent flavour, seasoning, texture, and overall quality.
- Monitor food batches, portion sizes, and production yields to ensure consistency and adherence to recipe specifications.
- Correcting any quantity changes on recipes and communicating these changes with senior chefs so recipes can be adjusted.
- Oversee meal presentation and portion control standards with the portioning team to minimise shortages, reduce carry-over stock, and maintain consistency across all meals.
- Ensure all meals produced meet company quality standards before being used for
- portioning.
- Make sure all daily tasks are being carried out correctly and in order of priority.
- Following strict HACCP guidelines and providing that evidence by recording all procedures on HACCP sheets provided.
- Making sure dietary requirement clients are receiving the correct meals; being aware of these requirements / allergens and ensuring they get only what foods they can have.
- Making sure fridges and freezers are checked and organised daily and all food is stored in correct location with correct labelling.
- Following colour coding system in the kitchen with aprons, uniforms, knives and chop boards with the advice of the senior chefs.
- Monitoring the food batches and portions, controlling the amount as the recipes or daily task list request to do so to avoid waste.
- Working well with others and helping each other to get all tasks completed. Promote and demonstrate teamwork and collaboration to ensure all production targets and daily tasks are achieved.
- Maintain effective communication with the Kitchen Manager and other departments.
- Report and communicate any issues occurring during shifts, including equipment breakdowns, recipe changes, ordering requirements, food quality concerns, operational issues affecting production
- Support a positive and professional working environment through clear communication and teamwork.
- Adhering to health & food safety guidelines.
- Presenting yourself in a clean and presentable manner.
- Any other tasks as reasonably requested by the Kitchen Manager or Kitchen Supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef
- Strong knowledge of food preparation and HACCP.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
