Job Title: Retrofit Technical Assessor

As a Retrofit Technical Assessor at Home Comfort Retrofits, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between homeowners and their retrofit journey, ensuring a seamless and efficient upgrade process. Responsibilities:
- Communicate technical aspects of retrofit best practices, benefits, and risks to homeowners and in-house project management team.
- Conduct on-site home retrofit surveys and perform pre-works BER and DEAP calculations.
- Prepare home energy upgrade proposals with cost estimates and engage in pre-contract negotiations.
- Collaborate with clients to understand energy needs and propose appropriate retrofit solutions.
- Support Engineering team in designing and implementing heat pump-led, deep retrofit whole-house solutions.
- Assist in energy audits, pre and post-energy analysis, and document management activities.
- Manage tender processes, negotiate supplier packages, procure subcontract packages, and ensure project cost control.
- Engage confidently with clients, negotiate variations, prepare valuations, manage cash flow, and oversee project closeout and cost analysis.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in residential construction projects, preferably retrofits, with exposure to sustainable construction best practices.
- Sales or sales administration experience is desirable.
Education:
- Level 7 degree in architecture, engineering (buildings), sustainable energy engineering, or related field.
- BER assessor registration.
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Prompt and efficient work ethic.
- Strong understanding of building energy performance and construction principles.
- Self-driven with a curiosity to learn and grow.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Comfortable working with DEAP.
- Negotiation and project management skills.
