Byrne Mech Ltd, based in Athenry, Co. Galway, is currently recruiting experienced CNC Operators and Welders to join our growing team.
These are full-time, on-site roles within a busy engineering and manufacturing environment.
CNC Operator Responsibilities
- Manage Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) equipment from setup through to operation
- Produce precision parts and tools from various materials
- Monitor machinery performance during production
- Inspect finished components to ensure quality standards are met
- Lead test runs and troubleshoot issues as required
- Maintain safe and efficient working practices
CNC Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience operating CNC machinery
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
Welder Responsibilities
- Perform MIG/TIG welding to specification
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Fabricate and assemble components
- Inspect finished welds to ensure quality standards
Welder Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years welding experience
- Experience working in a fabrication or engineering environment
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling (preferred)
Role Details

- 42.5 hours per week
- On-site in Athenry
