Position Overview
We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dispatch Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring kitchen components are accurately prepared, checked, and packed for delivery. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in accuracy, quality, and organisation, and who understands the importance of getting orders right the first time.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare kitchen components for delivery, ensuring all items are ready and correctly matched to customer orders.
- Check the quality of items and ensure they meet company standards before dispatch.
- Ensure all items are correctly labelled and fully accounted for prior to leaving the warehouse.
- Move items to and from stock, keeping accurate track of inventory locations.
- Prepare deliveries for safe transport, ensuring items are packed and secured appropriately to prevent damage in transit.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse, dispatch, or logistics environment is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to spot quality issues and labelling errors.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple orders accurately.
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and moving stock items.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow company procedures consistently.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for checking orders, labels, and stock records.
- A proactive, reliable approach with good timekeeping.
