Caiseal Geal Nursing Home has an opening for an experienced healthcare assistant to join our progressive care team working night duty. The successful candidate will work 39 hours per week as a healthcare assistant.
The job is on-site at Caiseal Geal Nursing Home, Castlegar, Co. Galway.
The Ideal candidate should have the following:
Experience in care of the older person is essential
Applicants must have conversational English
Must be organised, hardworking and have experience working in a nursing home setting.
The main purpose of the role is:
to deliver high quality care and assistance to our clients as per their Care Plan – assistance with meals, personal care, moving & transferring and activities of daily living.
To promote a caring environment for our residents through a person-centred approach, this includes the resident’s physical, emotional, social and intellectual needs. This will be achieved by working as part of a team of Health Care assistant, Nurses and Activity coordinators.
Usual hours of work will be three shifts from 8am to 8pm (with one hour for breaks) and one shift from 8am to 2pm per week. Some night shifts from 8pm to 8am will also be required.
The Successful candidate must have a minimum of 12 months healthcare experience.
