Job Brief
O'Dwyer's Footwear is becoming Shoe Suite, and we're looking for a friendly, reliable and confident Part-Time Retail Sales Assistant to join our Dungarvan team.
This is a permanent weekend position, working Saturdays and Sundays, with a minimum of 12.5 hours per week once fully trained.
The successful candidate will initially work alongside our experienced team while completing their training. Once fully trained, the role will involve regular Saturday and Sunday shifts, with a minimum of 12.5 hours per week.
Flexibility is an important part of this position. In addition to regular weekend hours, the successful candidate must be available to work additional weekday hours when required, particularly to cover staff holidays and during busier trading periods such as summer and Christmas.
This role would suit someone looking for consistent weekend work who also has the flexibility to increase their hours at certain times throughout the year.
Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer service and create a welcoming environment for our customers
- Assist customers in finding the right products for their needs
- Provide accurate information on products, sizing, pricing and services
- Process sales, exchanges and returns
- Maintain high standards of presentation throughout the store
- Replenish and organise stock
- Inform customers about promotions and special offers
- Help achieve store sales targets
- Keep up to date with new products and brands
- Take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of the store when required
Requirements
- Available to work every Saturday and Sunday
- Flexibility to work additional weekday hours during staff holidays and busy periods
- Reliable, responsible and comfortable taking responsibility for the store once fully trained
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Friendly, positive and confident manner
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Comfortable working in a busy retail environment
- Previous retail or customer service experience is an advantage
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Hours: Minimum 12.5 hours per week once fully trained, with additional hours available/required during holiday cover and busy trading periods
Pay: €14.15 per hour
