We are currently seeking a motivated and versatile Warehouse Operative & Delivery Driver to join our team based in Monaghan.
Role Overview
This is a dynamic, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You will split your time between maintaining an organized, efficient warehouse and making accurate, timely deliveries to our clients. The ideal candidate will be computer literate, possess excellent attention to detail, and have a flexible "can-do" attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Order Picking & Packing: Accurately selecting electrical components and preparing orders for dispatch or collection.
- Delivery Driving: Safely transporting goods to customers and between branches using the company van.
- Stock Management: Conducting regular stocktakes, checking in new deliveries against manifests, and replenishing store shelves.
- Warehouse Upkeep: Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment (sweeping, tidying, and waste management).
- Branch Support: While based in Monaghan, you will be required to cover and assist in our other two branches when necessary.
- System Updates: Using our internal computer systems to log stock movements and track orders.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Driving Licence: Full, clean B Class (car/van) driving licence is required.
- Computer Literacy: Comfortable using computers/scanners for basic inventory tracking and order processing.
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy is crucial for picking the correct electrical parts and managing stock counts.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to handle physical work, including lifting and moving stock.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel and work out of our other branch locations as operational needs dictate.
Desirable (Nice-to-Have)
- A valid Lorry Licence (C or C1) is a distinct advantage (but not essential).
- Previous experience in a warehousing, wholesaling, or trade counter environment.
- Knowledge of electrical components is a plus, but training will be provided.
- Forklift driving certifcate, manual handling, etc
