We are looking for a highly experienced Solar PV Installer to join our roofing and solar installation team.
This is a hands-on position for someone who is genuinely experienced in solar panel installation and working on roofs. The successful candidate must be confident working safely and efficiently on different types of roofing, particularly slate and concrete tiled roofs.
The Role
You will work as part of a professional three-person installation team, alongside an experienced electrician with roofing experience and a dedicated labourer/helper.
The role will involve:
- Installing solar PV panels and associated roof mounting systems.
- Working confidently and safely on slate roofs and concrete tiled roofs.
- Measuring, setting out and installing roof hooks, rails and mounting systems.
- Carrying out solar installations to a high standard of workmanship.
- Working closely with the electrician to ensure installations are completed efficiently.
- Carrying out basic electrical installation work within your level of competence, while working alongside the qualified electrician.
- Setting up and working from Easi-Dec scaffolding/access systems.
- Maintaining excellent health and safety standards while working at height.
- Helping to organise materials, tools and equipment on site.
- Working as part of a team to complete installations efficiently and professionally.
- Keeping the work area clean, safe and organised.

The successful candidate must have:
- Extensive hands-on experience installing solar PV systems.
- Proven experience working on slate roofs.
- Proven experience working on concrete tiled roofs.
- Experience with roof mounting systems and solar panel installation.
- Practical experience setting up and using Easi-Dec scaffolding/access systems.
- Experience working safely at height.
- Good understanding of roofing practices and working around existing roof structures.
- Basic electrical knowledge and the ability to work effectively alongside an electrician.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- A strong understanding of site safety.
- The ability to work efficiently as part of a three-person team.
- A reliable, professional and positive attitude.
- A full driving licence would be an advantage.

This position is for a fully experienced Solar PV Installer.
If you do not have substantial hands-on experience installing solar panels on slate and tiled roofs, or you have no experience setting up Easi-Dec scaffolding, this role will not be suitable.
