JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Controller, will be responsible ensuring that all key internal processing, settlement, accounting and client controls to support completion of internal and external reporting requirements, are implemented and followed.
- Responsible for integrity of the books and records of the entities and preparation of accurate statutory Annual Accounts
- Responsible for ensuring completion of month-end close cycle reviewing preliminary and final results for both the Income Statement and Balance Sheet to identify and resolve any exceptions and present Financial results
- Liaising with external Audit partners at both interim and year-end audit to ensure successful completion of audit process
- Oversight of preparation and submission of Payment Institution required Quarterly & Annual Returns to Financial Regulator
- Preparation of monthly financial reporting decks for senior management and board meetings
- Oversight of accounts payable and expenses of the entity
- Oversight and Support internal audit requirements and ensure internal controls are satisfied
- Ensure that all relevant internal controls are in place, fit for purpose and performed to required standards
- Ensure compliance with all vat reporting.
- Liaising with tax partners to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting and payments to revenue
- Supporting the budget process, liaising with business managers to ensure all cost and revenues are accurately reflected in the budget.
- Project participation as new initiatives are rolled out
- Leading the annual review of Capital Adequacy Assessment plans and Wind down plans
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related discipline
- 5+ plus years of financial services experience (accounting reconciliation experience is a plus)
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and time management skills
- Proven track record of large scale problem solving
- Strong Microsoft Office experience
- Project Management exposure
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information at varying levels of detail, depending on the audience, in a concise manner
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, effective under pressure
- Able to develop, clearly present, and draw conclusions
