About the Role
We are a progressive audiology firm based in the North East of Ireland, recognised for our expertise in the assessment and support of individuals living with tinnitus and complex hearing loss. We are currently seeking a qualified Hearing Aid Audiologist to join our expanding clinical team. In addition to delivering all core aspects of hearing care, the successful candidate will receive in-depth training in tinnitus assessment and innovative treatment techniques, with the goal of becoming a tinnitus specialist within the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out full audiological assessments, including air and bone conduction audiometry, tympanometry, and speech testing.
- Fit and verify hearing aids using real ear measurement and evidence-based fitting protocols.
- Provide ongoing patient support, counselling, and rehabilitation to maximise hearing outcomes.
- Perform earwax removal using microsuction with a high standard of clinical hygiene and patient safety.
- Maintain accurate, GDPR-compliant clinical records and reports.
- Engage in structured tinnitus training to deliver sound-based and neuro-auditory support plans.
- Apply advanced tinnitus assessment techniques, including patient profiling, perceptual matching, and frequency-weighted soundscape interventions.
- Contribute to research-informed clinical practice and continuous service development.
- Assist with patient education, community engagement, and health promotion events.
- Adhere to all relevant Health and Safety and clinical governance standards in the Republic of Ireland.
- Ability to travel between our Dublin and Drogheda clinics.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A recognised qualification in audiology, such as: FdSc Foundation Degree in Audiology, BSc or MSc in Audiology (or equivalent)
- Membership of, or eligibility for membership with, the Irish Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists (ISHAA).
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in hearing aid fitting preferred.
- Proficiency in earwax removal using microsuction is essential.
- Outstanding communication skills in spoken English, with a clear and articulate manner suitable for working with individuals who have hearing difficulties.
- A warm, patient-centred approach with the ability to explain complex information simply and clearly.
- A strong interest in tinnitus care, auditory retraining, or neuro-auditory rehabilitation is desirable.
- Applicants must hold a full, clean Irish driving licence.
- Applicants must be currently based in Ireland and possess valid documentation permitting them to work in Ireland.
