We are looking for a day shift Cleaning Operative to join our team in Oakpark Foods in Cahir Co. Tipperary. 5.00am shift start
Daily Tasks:
- Every morning the gloves, shoe covers, sleeves, disposable aprons and blue rolls must be topped up in all areas of the factory. This must be repeated as required (checked on an hourly basis) and before going home.
- All dispensers must be kept clean inside and out.
- All hand soap and hand sanitizer dispensers must be checked and topped up as required.
- Adequate PPE must be available in lockers for all employees.
- The canteen must be kept clean; this includes the fridges, cups, presses, tables, floor, walls, etc.
- Milk deliveries must be moved to a refrigerator as soon as possible.
- Cleaning Chemicals, mops etc. must be locked away when not in use.
- Canteen in the main office areas must be cleaned daily - areas sanitized, floors swept & washed.
- Stairs and floors upstairs must be swept and washed daily.
- Bins must be emptied in all areas including production, canteen and office areas, as necessary.
- Changing Room must be kept clean including tops of lockers.
- Male & Female locker rooms must be kept clean and tidy.
- Toilet areas must be cleaned and washed daily. Toilets must be checked for toilet roll, soap, sanitizer and blue roll regularly and topped up if necessary.
- Offices must be kept clean and tidy.
- Ensure waste is correctly segregated i.e. General / Recycling & Compost. Report any issue with waste segregation.
- Check all PPE coats in the storage area are adequately covered and protected i.e. bags fully sealed.
- Ensure cleaning chemicals are stored as required i.e. stored in a locked area when not in use.
- All tasks must be carried out in compliance with H&S policies and procedures.
Weekly Tasks
- Main Office including the reception area, main office area, boardroom, quality office and toilets must be cleaned. Dusting, hoovering, sweeping and floor washing / hoovering. Reception door glass cleaned.
- Deep cleaning of Male & Female changing areas and toilets including cleaning wall panels, window ledges, flyscreens, dusting, sweeping and washing floors, cleaning the tops of lockers, cleaning skirting.
- Deep clean of PPE changing areas including cleaning walls; floors; tops of lockers; dispensers, etc.
Other Duties as Required:
- Defrost fridges in the canteen as required.
- Cooking appliances (air-fryer, oven) must be cleaned as required.
Skills & Experience:
- Must be flexible and be able to meet deadlines.
- Experience is similar role is desirable but not essential.
- Training will be given as required and you are expected to attend all training sessions as requested.
- This is a food factory and requires a high level of attention to both personal and food hygiene.
