Post Summary:
For over twenty years, post-graduate modules in Educational Assessment have been offered as part of the Master in Education, Professional Master of Education and Bachelor of Music Education degrees. These modules are core to all programmes and are an accreditation requirement for the Professional Master of Education and the Bachelor of Music Education. These programmes are the major flagship programmes of the school and Educational Assessment is a critical component in each of them.
The Assistant Professor in Educational Assessment will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment in the field of Educational Assessment in Trinity College Dublin’s School of Education. The successful candidate will work with well-established teams on our initial teacher education, masters and doctoral programmes in this critical area and support the future development of the field as part of the School's strategic plan. They will have a strong background in Educational Assessment and be able to demonstrate excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will contribute to the School’s postgraduate taught and research programmes including supervision at masters and doctoral levels. They will undertake research, knowledge generation and dissemination in the field of Educational Assessment.
Post status: Specific Purpose Contract
The specific purpose of this employment is to fill a vacancy on a temporary basis pending the return of the postholder from secondment.
