Care Network Ireland are currently recruiting Catering driver/ attendant for agency hours for a HSE Elderly Services facility in Limerick City.
Key Responsibilities:

Meal Transport: Load, transport, and unload heated or chilled food trolleys, crates, and catering provisions safely across the hospital campus using facility vehicles.

Ward Deliveries: Deliver scheduled meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and snack stocks directly to designated ward pantries according to strict timetables.

Collections: Retrieve used food trays, empty containers, and dirty catering equipment from units, returning them promptly to the main kitchen wash-up area.

Food Safety & HACCP: Adhere to all food hygiene standards, strict temperature control logging, and infection control procedures during transit.

Vehicle Care: Conduct daily checks, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and ensure safe loading practices while operating hospital transport on-site.

Kitchen Support: Assist the broader catering and kitchen porter team with stock checks, boxing deliveries, and basic kitchen duties when not driving.
Requirements & Qualifications:

Driving Licence: A full, clean Category B (Car/Light Van) Irish driving licence is essential.

Licence Longevity: Must have held a full driving licence for a minimum of 2 years.

Compliance: Successful candidates will be required to undergo standard Garda Vetting and reference checks.

Skills: Strong communication skills, excellent time management, and a compassionate, respectful approach suitable for a healthcare environment.

Advantageous: Previous experience in a high-volume catering environment, delivery driving, or holding a valid HACCP/Food Hygiene certificate is highly desirable (training will be provided).

Knowledge of healthcare best practices, including infection prevention and food safety.
