Job Summary
Established in 2016, The Organic Collective specializes in importing, wholesaling and manufacturing a wide range of dry foods and spices for the bakery, retail and food manufacturing sectors. The Production & Warehouse Operative is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the business through food production activities, order preparation, stock handling, and general warehouse duties. The role requires a strong focus on food safety, product quality, accuracy, efficiency, and maintaining a clean and organized working environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring food ingredients are safely packed, stored, and dispatched to customers in accordance with company procedures and food safety standards. On-site training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Food Production & Packing
- Weigh, mix, pack, label, and seal food ingredients accurately according to production specifications.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures.
- Operate packing and weighing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Carry out product checks to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with company standards.
- Complete production records and traceability documentation accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness of production areas, equipment, and workstations.
- Report any quality, safety, or equipment issues to management immediately.
Order Preparation & Dispatch
- Pick customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring products are correctly labelled and packaged.
- Check orders against picking lists and customer requirements.
- Assist with loading and unloading vehicles when required.
- Ensure dispatch deadlines are met while maintaining high levels of accuracy.
Warehouse Duties
- Receive, inspect, and put away incoming stock.
- Rotate stock using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
- Conduct stock counts and assist with inventory control activities.
- Maintain organized warehouse storage locations.
- Move stock and materials safely throughout the warehouse.
- Keep warehouse areas clean, tidy, and free from hazards.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times when required.
- Follow food hygiene and allergen control procedures.
- Participate in food safety, health and safety, and operational training.
- Support audits and inspections as required.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Previous experience in a warehouse, production, manufacturing, or food handling environment.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow written procedures and work instructions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties.
Desirable
- Experience within the food manufacturing or food packing industry.
- Knowledge of food safety, GMP, HACCP, and allergen controls.
- Forklift licence or warehouse equipment experience.
- Experience using warehouse management or stock control systems.

Location: Dunboyne Business Park, Co. Meath
Hours: 8:30am-4:30pm Monday-Friday (Paid Bank Holidays)
Starting Salary: €28,800 annual
Start Date: Immediate
Pay: €28,800.00 per year
