About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping experience, be comfortable managing high transaction volumes, and have hands-on experience with multi-currency reconciliations, Shopify, and PayPal.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate day-to-day bookkeeping records
- Perform bank, credit card, PayPal, and merchant account reconciliations
- Manage multi-currency transactions and reconciliations
- Reconcile Shopify sales, payments, refunds, and fees
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Assist with payroll processing and related reporting
- Monitor cash flow and prepare management reports
- Support month-end and year-end accounting processes
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors as required
Requirements
- Proven bookkeeping experience (minimum 3 years preferred)
- Strong experience with multi-currency reconciliations
- Hands-on experience using Shopify and PayPal
- Experience reconciling online sales platforms and payment gateways
- Excellent understanding of VAT and general accounting principles
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
- E-commerce bookkeeping experience
- Experience working with international suppliers and customers
- Familiarity with inventory and stock-related accounting
