Accounts Assistant - Freight & Logistics Industry

My client is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their growing and well-established freight and logistics business based in South Dublin. This role is ideally suited to somebody coming directly from the freight, shipping or logistics sector, as industry experience is essential. The successful candidate will be joining a busy finance team within a company experiencing continued growth across road freight, European imports and exports, air freight, ocean freight and Irish distribution operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- High-volume invoice processing and billing
- Raising and managing customer invoices accurately and efficiently
- Supporting the finance team with daily accounting operations
- Account reconciliations and resolving invoice queries
- Assisting with month-end finance processes
- Working closely with operations and logistics teams internally
- Managing supplier and customer account administration
Requirements:
- Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant or Assistant Accountant role
- Freight, logistics, shipping or transport industry experience is essential
- Strong invoicing and reconciliation experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
- ACCA studies or progression would be advantageous
