General Requirements
- Solid computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and accurate spelling, grammar and word-processing abilities.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- The ability to solve problems and work independently.
- Ideally, some music background, to be able to answer questions about the New School and music education in general.
Responsibilities
- Liaising with our large teaching faculty.
- Communicating regularly both with adult students and with parents of young students.
- Answering phone and email enquiries about any aspect of the New School or its programmes.
- Enrolling and timetabling new and returning students.
- Taking payments by various methods (credit or debit card, cash, cheque, bank transfer).
- Generating invoices, receipts, lodgement reports and financial reports.
- Updating our student database.
- Updating mailing lists and generating mailings to students, schools and organisations.
- Greeting students and parents and directing them to classrooms.
- Correspondence and email.
- Filing, photocopying and general office work.
