Northgate Vehicle Hire has been supplying and managing vehicles for businesses across Ireland for more than 22 years. We continue to grow and lead the light commercial vehicle rental market, operating a fleet of approximately 4,500 vehicles from our depots in Dublin, Cork and Limerick.
We are now recruiting for a Customer Service Advisor to join our growing team at our Dublin Head Office.
As a Customer Service Advisor, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of our Service Centre. Acting as a link between customers, technicians, suppliers and internal departments, you will help ensure vehicles are maintained, compliant and available for hire while delivering excellent customer service.

Deliver a first-class customer experience at all times

Manage customer enquiries professionally and efficiently

Provide regular updates to customers regarding vehicle servicing and repairs

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders

Respond to key account queries within agreed timescales

Schedule vehicle services and maintenance appointments

Ensure servicing is completed in line with manufacturer guidelines and customer service agreements

Minimise overdue servicing and maximise vehicle availability

Manage breakdowns and road traffic incidents promptly and effectively
-
Ensure preventative maintenance work is authorised and necessary

Raise, allocate, update and close job cards accurately and in a timely manner

Issue work to technicians and external repair providers

Record vehicle mileages and identify any additional repair requirements

Maintain accurate records and documentation

Raise sales invoices promptly
-
Identify and manage warranty claims correctly

Obtain customer authorisation before any chargeable work is undertaken

Ensure recall work is completed before vehicles are returned to customers

Review and approve purchase ledger invoices

Maximise recharge opportunities where applicable

Manage minor damage claims in line with company procedures

Ensure all customer service level agreements are adhered to

Support the smooth running of the service department

Maintain accurate logs and records

Ensure high standards of housekeeping within the department

Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve departmental objectives

Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification

Previous customer service or administration experience

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications

Vehicle maintenance or repair qualifications

Previous experience within the automotive, fleet or rental sector

Bodyshop or vehicle repair industry experience
