Job Title: HGV Truck Driver (Arctic)
Location: Based in Galway – regular work to/from Dublin Port and across Ireland
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced HGV Driver (Category CE) to transport and deliver goods/containers. The role is based in Galway with regular routes to and from Dublin Port, as well as deliveries across Ireland (primarily to the West, but not exclusively).
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Safely operate Category CE HGV vehicles
- Transport and deliver goods/containers between Galway, Dublin Port and other locations nationwide
- Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and in line with company and customer requirements
- Complete and maintain all relevant documentation and records (delivery notes, tachograph data, etc.)
- Comply with all road transport and health & safety regulations
- Carry out daily walk‑around checks and report any vehicle defects promptly
- Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times
Working Conditions:
- Nights out during the week will be required
- Work patterns and routes may vary depending on operational needs
Requirements:
- Valid Category CE driving licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid digital tachograph card
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Relevant HGV driving experience
Eligibility:
- You must be currently based in Ireland or be an EU citizen. We cannot provide work permits at this time, so non‑EU candidates requiring sponsorship should not apply.
- We can consider younger drivers (under the usual age) depending on experience and qualifications, in line with legal requirements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €46,000.00-€52,000.00 per year
