YOUR ROLE
The Transport Department within CMA CGM provides optimal inland solutions to support customer needs in a consistent, cost‑effective manner.
This vacancy sits within the planning team, ensuring containers are routed efficiently using road partners across Ireland and North Ireland.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING | KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Dispatch all Ireland transport for road
Ensure maximum efficiency across all transports
Maintain and build strong relationships with internal departments and vendors
Ensure all vehicle allocations are met
Undertake training to provide cover during colleague absences
Act as focal point to provide update for internal teams to ensure high quality of customer service
Manage key transport accounts
Capture and report all additional costs to relevant departments
Provide feedback on transport performance
Coordinate with the Transport team to resolve service issues with corrective actions
Liaise with import and export customer service groups
Build relationships with hauliers
Ensure costs are being logged correctly
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Transport industry experience essential
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to work individually and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Professional telephone manner
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Strong attention to detail
Practical & Technical Knowledge
Proficient in MS Office applications
Knowledge of Destin8 and CNS port community systems preferable
Good geographical and spatial awareness of Ireland, used to calculate appropriate routes
