Ashtown Medical Centre is a small practice in Dublin 15, and we are looking for a phlebotomist to work with us on a casual basis. We need someone reliable, qualified, and free in the early morning.
Details
- Location: Ashtown Medical Centre, Dublin 15.
- Start: from September.
- Hours: 7:00 – 9:00.
- September to May: 1x – 2x a week.
- June to August: 1x every 2 weeks.
- Contract: casual work / contract for services.
What the role involves
- Taking blood for laboratory testing - efficiently, and without stress for the patient.
- Labelling, securing and preparing samples for transport.
- Setting up the room, and keeping the phlebotomy room to hygiene standards.
- Making sure patients are comfortable and professionally looked after.
What we are looking for
- A completed phlebotomy course or certificate, or documented authorisation to take blood.
- Hands-on experience with venous blood sampling.
- A courteous, gentle and empathetic manner with patients.
- Strict adherence to health-and-safety procedures and aseptic technique.
- Punctuality and reliability.
