Kelehans of Bushypark is on the lookout for a bar manager to join our friendly and energetic team.
The Role
This is a hands-on management position where you will take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the bar while leading and supporting a team dedicated to delivering excellent customer experiences.
The successful candidate will lead by example, maintain high operational standards, and create a positive working environment where staff can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the bar.
- Lead, motivate, and support the bar team.
- Maintain a visible presence on the floor and behind the bar.
- Deliver and promote exceptional customer service standards.
- Recruit, train, and develop team members.
- Handle customer feedback, queries, and complaints professionally.
- Coordinate live music, entertainment, and events alongside the owner.
- Manage stock ordering and stock control
- Oversee cash handling procedures and end-of-night reconciliations.
- Prepare weekly staff rosters and manage labour costs effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
- Work closely with the kitchen and management team to ensure smooth daily operations.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within a busy bar, pub, or hospitality venue.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Experience with stock control and cash management.
- Ability to remain organised and perform well under pressure.
- A positive attitude and a genuine passion for hospitality.
