The Senior Accounts Executive work across all group companies including, Limerick Travel, B&B Ireland, The Bedford Townhouse. This role will report into our Financial Accountant/ Head of Accounts Department.
KEY DELIVERABLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Production of monthly management accounts and Balance Sheet reconciliations to strict deadlines.
- Overseeing the issue of invoices on a weekly basis and ensuring that all partners have agreed credit terms at the time of contracting.
- Key support to the General Managers of the businesses in helping to support financial management and achievement of group targets.
- Contributing to the success of the businesses through value adds in addition to the core accounting role.
- Compiling the annual budgets for the businesses each year in line with Group targets and objectives.
- Completing weekly cashflow forecasts
- Overseeing members of the accounts team working on accounts payable and receivables to ensure they are maintained in an accurate and timely manner
- Overseeing creditor reconciliations and that the administration of the purchasing system is maintained.
- Playing a key role in the monitoring of internal controls for the two businesses, identifying potential weaknesses in systems and processes and strengthening controls where necessary.
- Preparation of a range of other financial reports to assist management in decision making and understanding performance.
- Attendance at and actively participating in weekly finance team meetings.
- Analysis of costs and identifying possible savings.
- Preparation of year end accounts for annual audit process.
- Assisting with payroll when necessary

Skills/Experience
- Part-qualified accountant
- Minimum of 2+ years of general accounting practice experience.
- Results-driven with strong technical abilities and financial and commercial acumen.
- Dynamic and flexible to work across a group company structure
- Strong Accounting systems experience. Sage preferred but not essential
- Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on customer care.
- Highly organized with excellent planning abilities.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative but also work well as part of team
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite.
