Head Chef
Goats Gruff | Strawberry Beds & Castleknock, Dublin
Salary: €50,000–€60,000
We're looking for an exceptional Head Chef to lead our growing kitchen team across both of our Goats Gruff locations - Castlenock and Strawberry Beds.
Goats Gruff has built a reputation for serving some of Dublin's best Neapolitan pizza alongside award-winning food in a fast-paced, energetic environment. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a leader who takes pride in developing people, maintaining exceptional standards, and driving a positive kitchen culture.
This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing operations at both our Strawberry Beds and Castleknock locations.
What you'll be responsible for
- Leading, motivating and developing our kitchen team
- Maintaining consistently high food quality and presentation
- Overseeing authentic Neapolitan pizza production
- Managing dough production and quality control
- Stock ordering, stock control and minimising waste
- Food safety, HACCP compliance and kitchen organisation
- Labour planning and rostering alongside management
- Training new chefs and maintaining kitchen standards
- Working closely with management to continually improve operations and service
We're looking for someone who has
- Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team
- Proven experience making authentic Neapolitan pizza
- Excellent knowledge of dough production and fermentation
- Strong stock control and ordering experience
- High standards, attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- A positive, solutions-focused attitude
- The ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced service
A full driving licence would be a significant advantage, as you'll be overseeing both locations.
