General Operative
Due to the continued growth of Wicklow Wolf Brewing Company, we are looking for a General Operative to join the Wolf Pack.
This is a hands-on, entry-level role supporting our production, warehouse and logistics teams. You will assist with the movement of materials and finished products, the preparation of customer orders, general cleaning and a range of day-to-day operational tasks around the brewery.
We are a close-knit, fast-moving team, so reliability, a positive attitude and a willingness to help are essential. The successful candidate will be hardworking, dependable and comfortable carrying out practical and physical work in a busy brewery environment.
Full training will be provided. For the right person who demonstrates the required ability and ambition, there will be opportunities to learn new skills and progress within the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all work safely and follow the brewery’s health and safety procedures.
- Assist with picking, preparing and checking customer orders for collection and delivery.
- Help load and unload incoming and outgoing deliveries.
- Move raw materials, packaging and finished products safely around the brewery.
- Assist the production and logistics teams with the materials and stock required for daily operations.
- Support the packing, labelling and preparation of finished products when required.
- Assist with stock counts and basic warehouse record-keeping.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the warehouse, yard, production areas and other storage spaces.
- Clean equipment and working areas in accordance with the brewery’s procedures.
- Handle company stock, equipment and facilities carefully and report any damage, shortages or safety concerns.
- Follow instructions and communicate clearly with supervisors and other members of the team.
- Interact with drivers, contractors, customers and visitors in a positive and helpful manner.
- Support other areas of the brewery operation when reasonably required.

Desirable Attributes
- Previous experience in a warehouse, production, manufacturing or similar hands-on environment.
- Experience working in food and beverage manufacturing, FMCG or brewing.
- Manual-handling training or certification.
- Experience using warehouse equipment or preparing customer orders.
- A current forklift licence or previous forklift experience.
Relevant training may be provided where required.
