Hotel Killarney is currently seeking an enthusiastic, responsible, and customer-focused Lifeguard to join our vibrant Leisure Centre team. About the Role:
As a Lifeguard at Hotel Killarney, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all guests and members using our leisure facilities. You will be responsible for supervising pool activities, maintaining high safety standards, and delivering a friendly and professional experience at all times. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, attentive, and enjoys being part of a supportive and dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the swimming pool and surrounding areas to ensure the safety of all users
- Provide a warm, friendly, and professional welcome to guests and members
- Carry out regular safety checks and enforce all pool rules and procedures
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the leisure centre
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any issues promptly
- Respond effectively to emergencies in line with training and procedures
- Assist with front desk duties, including handling enquiries and processing payments
- Support colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent customer service
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid Pool Lifeguard Certification and First Aid qualification (essential)
- Previous experience in a leisure centre or customer-facing role is an advantage
- Strong focus on health, safety, and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, approachable, and professional manner
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment
- Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
