The Organisation
Animal Health Ireland is a not-for-profit, public-private partnership, tasked with controlling livestock diseases not subject to international regulation, with the objective of improving the profitability and sustainability of Irish farmers and the agri-food sector. The advice provided by AHI is developed by a number of Technical Working Groups and the delivery of its major programmes is overseen by cross-industry Implementation Groups.
Description
The successful candidate will support administration processes across a range of office functions, including analysis and data entry in relation to the full range of programmes and services delivered by AHI, answer telephone calls from the general public and stakeholders; support the maintenance of AHI’s customer relationship management system. The role will require working within a busy office environment, multi-tasking and contributing to all aspects of office administration, as well as providing support to various AHI programmes.
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will be highly organised and motivated and committed to delivering high-quality results, with good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively and with flexibility as part of a team. Knowledge and experience of working with Microsoft Excel and Office (or similar) at a strong intermediate level. Previous experience using CRM/large database is a distinct advantage.

In addition to an assessment of the applications, the short-listing process will comprise a test of the candidate’s proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel. Final selection will be by means of a competitive interview.
