Position: Receptionist / Sales & Marketing Assistant
Department: Front of House / Sales & Marketing
Reporting to: Front of House Manager
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Receptionist / Sales & Marketing Assistant will provide a friendly, professional and efficient service to all customers while supporting the day-to-day sales and marketing activities of the leisure centre.
The role will involve reception duties, customer service, membership sales, promoting centre services and activities, assisting with marketing campaigns and helping to maintain the centre's social media and promotional presence.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Reception & Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service to all members, customers and visitors
- Welcome customers and assist with general enquiries
- Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to customer queries
- Book customers into classes, courses, swimming lessons and other centre activities
- Process customer transactions for the pool, gym and other centre services
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately
- Deal professionally and efficiently with member queries
- Maintain a clean, tidy and professional reception area
- Assist with general day-to-day Front of House duties
- Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure a high standard of customer service
Sales & Marketing
- Promote and sell centre memberships, services, classes, courses and activities
- Deal with membership enquiries and provide prospective members with relevant information
- Assist customers with choosing the most suitable membership or service
- Follow up on membership and sales enquiries where required
- Promote current membership offers, campaigns and centre promotions
- Support membership retention initiatives and customer engagement
- Assist with achieving membership and sales targets
- Identify opportunities to promote additional centre services to existing customers
Marketing & Promotions
- Assist with the implementation of the centre's sales and marketing activities
- Help create and promote marketing campaigns for memberships, classes, swimming lessons, events and other centre services
- Assist with creating content for social media platforms
- Support the scheduling and publishing of social media posts
- Take photographs and videos of centre activities and events for promotional purposes, where appropriate
- Assist with the creation and distribution of posters, flyers, digital advertisements and other promotional material
- Help ensure marketing materials throughout the centre are current, accurate and professionally presented
- Promote upcoming events, programmes, courses and special offers
- Assist with community engagement and local promotional opportunities
- Support the promotion of centre events and campaigns both online and within the facility
- Monitor customer engagement and provide feedback on promotions and marketing activities
General Responsibilities
- Participate in team meetings, staff training and centre functions
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent the centre positively at all times
- Follow all company policies, procedures and health & safety requirements
- Work collaboratively with management and other departments
- Carry out other reasonable duties as required by management in line with the needs of the centre
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From €14.30 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 30.0 per week
