Job Description:
Position: Print & Press Operator
Location: DTF Print Workshop, Dublin
Reports to: Production Manager
Contract: Temporary, with potential to become permanent as we grow
Overview:
Fukil is looking for a reliable, detail-focused Print & Press Operator to join our workshop team. This role is temporary to start, but we're a growing business and there's genuine potential for it to develop into a permanent position for the right person. You'll be responsible for applying printed transfers to garments using heat press equipment, ensuring every item meets our quality standards before it's packed and shipped to customers and wholesale partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heat press machines to apply DTF/vinyl transfers to garments (t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, tote bags, and more)
- Position transfers accurately using guides/templates to ensure consistent placement across batches
- Monitor press temperature, pressure, and timing settings for different fabric types and print styles
- Inspect finished garments for print quality, alignment, and defects, flagging any issues before packing
- Fold, label, and prepare finished garments for dispatch or handover to the packing team
- Keep the press station and surrounding work area clean, organised, and safe
- Track basic production quantities and communicate progress to the production manager
- Assist with general workshop tasks as needed (stock handling, prepping blanks, etc.)
Requirements:
- Previous experience with heat press or garment printing equipment is an advantage but not essential — full training provided
- Strong attention to detail and consistency, especially when working through repetitive batches
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and handling garments/equipment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a small team
- Basic numeracy for tracking quantities and reading production sheets
