About Us
Bettystown House is a beautifully restored 18th-century estate nestled on 13 acres of private grounds in the heart of County Meath. With nine luxurious en-suite bedrooms, a private lake, forest trails, and a rich history dating back to the 1600s, the house has been reimagined as a truly special destination for private stays, events, and unique food experiences. As part of our team, you’ll be working in this extraordinary setting, helping us deliver memorable summer dining evenings and elegant afternoon teas to our wonderful guests. There may be shift in all locations.
Position Overview
As a supervisor, you will take a lead role in providing outstanding customer service, ensuring the smooth operation of the dining room, and showcase a welcoming atmosphere. We are looking for a passionate, innovative, hardworking, reliable, and honest individual to join our team and uphold the core values of our establishment.
Key Responsibilities
o Customer Service Excellence
Welcome and seat guests, providing menus.
Take orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure guests' needs are met promptly.
Address inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring overall guest satisfaction.
o Team Leadership
Assist in the training and supervision of junior waiting staff.
Delegate tasks, oversee shifts, and ensure that service standards are upheld.
Serve as a positive role model, encouraging a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.
o Table and Reservation Management
Manage reservations, coordinate seating.
Maintain an organised and efficient dining room layout.
Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service.
o Quality Assurance
Uphold our commitment to using high-quality local ingredients in every aspect of service.
Ensure that food and beverages are served in an appealing and correct manner.
Conduct regular quality checks to guarantee a top-tier dining experience.
o Customer Relations
Develop rapport with returning guests, remembering their preferences and names.
Solicit and act on feedback, addressing any concerns or special requests.
Create a warm and personalised experience for all diners.
o Honesty and Integrity
Uphold the highest standards of honesty and integrity in all aspects of the role.
Act as a role model for fair & ethical behavior within the team.
Qualifications/Requirements
o 2+ years’ experience as a leader/supervisor or in a similar position.
o Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
o A solid understanding of restaurant operations and service standards.
o Leadership abilities and a willingness to train and mentor junior staff.
o Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
o Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
o A keen eye for detail.
o Level-headed and consistent in nature.
o Trustworthy and reliable.
o Approachable with excellent people skills.
