Tír na nÓg Aughrim-Kilmore community childcare are seeking an experienced and dedicated Childcare manager to lead our early years and SAC service. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional to oversee the daily operations of a high-quality childcare setting and ensure the delivery of a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for children.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the overall day to day operations of the childcare service.
- Lead, support and supervise staff to maintain high standards of care and education.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including Tusla requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and oversee administrative duties.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, staff, VMC and the wider community.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures inline with best practice.
- Oversee budgeting, financial management and occupancy levels.
- Ensure a high standard of health, safety and hygiene at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum level 7 qualification in early childhood care and education (or higher)
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a childcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of childcare regulations and quality frameworks in Ireland.
- Experience using the Hive (National childcare system) and Tusla Portal.
- Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage staff, rotas and operational planning effectively.
- Experience with Aistear and Siolta frameworks and Practice guide.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- First Aid, Child protection and safeguarding training (up to date)
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team in consultation with VMC.
- Experience liaising with regulatory bodies and inspections.
- Financial management and budgeting experience.

Job Type
Sessional - 40 weeks + 5 weeks holidays (Halloween, Christmas and Easter)
Expected hours: 40 hrs per week
Pay: €22 - €26 per hour (depending on experience)
