Job Summary:
We keep growing! We’re searching for a talented and enthusiastic Part Time Commis Chef/Cook to expand our kitchen team. As a key player in our culinary family, you’ll be crafting delicious, authentic Mexican dishes that will delight our guests. If you have a love for Mexican cuisine and a knack for cooking, this is the perfect role for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Mexican dishes, ensuring top-notch quality and presentation.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Help with food prep, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and making salsas and sauces.
- Follow recipes and presentation standards to consistently deliver delicious meals.
- Manage inventory and keep track of supplies to ensure we’re always ready to cook up something amazing.
- Work efficiently and effectively during busy service times, maintaining a positive and friendly attitude.
Qualifications:
- Basic Spanish
- Previous experience as a cook, with a focus on Mexican cuisine.
- Passion for cooking and a deep appreciation for authentic Mexican flavours.
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn and grow.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A positive attitude and a love for bringing smiles to our guests’ faces through delicious food.
