Overview
Castle Grove Country House is a member of Ireland's Blue Book, with a farm-to-fork food ethos, an excellent wine cellar and an award-winning restaurant recognised for excellent customer service and fine dining. We're looking for a Restaurant Manager to maintain and elevate our restaurant standards and guest experience — leading a busy restaurant operation with strong food and beverage knowledge, and driving customer satisfaction and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Guest Experience
- Manage a busy restaurant and its day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards
- Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service
- Identify customer needs and respond proactively to all concerns
- Monitor guest feedback and implement continuous service improvements
- Ensure exceptional guest service, consistency and professionalism throughout the operation
Team Leadership & Development
- Provide two-way communication and nurture an ownership environment with emphasis on motivation and teamwork
- Recruit, train, mentor and develop the restaurant team, fostering a positive work environment and high levels of employee engagement
- Work as part of the management team, deputising when necessary, and provide shift management cover as required
- Prepare rotas based on forecasted business levels and optimise staffing efficiency
Commercial Performance
- Manage and control labour costs and wage percentages
- Drive revenue growth through upselling initiatives, promotions and commercial strategies
Reporting
- Report to senior management on sales results, productivity and performance
Requirements
- Proven food and beverage management experience
- Strong food and beverage knowledge, with an appreciation of fine dining and wine
- Working knowledge of various computer software programmes, including MS Office
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
- Mastery in delegating multiple tasks
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Guest-oriented and service-minded
- A hospitality degree, diploma or equivalent, though allowance may be made depending on previous experience
Pay: From €34,000.00 per year
