HR Manager
Full-Time | Permanent | Monday–Friday
ShannonDoc is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead and manage the HR function across the organisation.
ShannonDoc provides urgent out-of-hours GP services across the Mid-West, with a multidisciplinary workforce of clinical, operational and administrative staff.
Reporting directly to the CEO and working as part of the Senior Management Team, the HR Manager will provide both strategic and hands on HR support across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
· Managing and developing the HR function across ShannonDoc.
· Providing HR and employee relations advice to managers and senior leadership.
· Managing recruitment, onboarding, performance, attendance, disciplinary and grievance matters.
· Ensuring compliance with Irish employment legislation and maintaining appropriate HR policies and procedures.
· Supporting workforce planning, employee engagement and staff development.
· Coordinating selected corporate and business administration activities.
· Leading and supporting projects across HR, workforce, administration and organisational development.
· Reviewing existing processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and ways of working.
· Developing policies, procedures, reports and business documentation.
· Coordinating cross functional projects involving different departments and stakeholders.
· Tracking actions, deadlines and deliverables on key organisational initiatives.
· Supporting the CEO and management team with business improvement and organisational development projects.
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, practical and solutions-focused, with the ability to take ownership of projects and see them through to completion.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- A relevant qualification in HR, Business, Management or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a HR Manager or Senior HR role.
- Strong HR/generalist experience and good knowledge of Irish employment legislation.
- Experience managing employee relations matters.
- Strong project management, administration and organisational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work across different areas of the organisation.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Experience within a unionised environment, healthcare or another regulated environment would be an advantage but not essential.

Location: ShannonDoc, Mid-West Region
Reporting to: CEO
Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience
